Leadership is more than managing people or projects, it is more than a title. Leadership is about caring for and talking with people, making the right (and sometimes difficult) decisions, being accountable, knowing their limitations, and pushing others to achieve or go beyond the every day. I have worked with many managers who have been effective at coordinating and doing their job (and of course those that just manage to turn up for work); I have worked with only a few Leaders who have inspired those around them to reach for the unthinkable, to see the impossible, and know that they have the support to make a difference. Leaders do not have personal agendas, just the ability to see what is the best way forward and act on it.
